Blue Damselfly

After visiting our local library and getting myself a brand new library card and loading myself up with photography books I decided to visit Lake Mangamahoe.
There were dragonflies everywhere and all of them seemed bent on procreating! Pun intended. He He. For anyone thats never seen how dragonflies mate they literally bend themselves in half. If you would like to see a pair mating, you can look

This guy seemed content staying perfectly still so I could take his picture. I find dragonflies tricky subjects as their eyes are so out of proportion and its hard to get them nice and crisp. I think this here is my best effort to date.
