Azalea leaf gall.

Noticed recently there are some fleshy cup shaped structures growing from leaves on one of the Azaleas. It turns out that this is a fungus and quite a common problem possibly caused by the wet Spring. The galls vary in size between a pea and a plumb, and the advice I have been reading is to remove and destroy them before they ripen, fall to the ground a produce spores. Hurrah; yet another job!!
