Detour

Decided to go on my own Tour de Ryedale this afternoon. Plans for a short ride went awry when a road closure caused a significant detour. Mark Cavendish didn’t have this to deal with!

Had to do a section along the main road. Never good to be on a busy road! Very glad to get off on the quieter roads again despite adding to the distance. Richard was about to give me a ring as he had expected me home much sooner. Back in time to watch Mark Cavendish win another sprint.

This wildflower is one of Richard’s favourites. It was growing outside the old telephone exchange. Rather liked the way it came out.
