Old School Digiscoping
I was examining the night sky last night with a x32 magnification birding scope. I was trying to locate the comet but I couldn't find it. :o(
The moon looked awesome with it's side lighting and I could clearly see Jupiter and it's 4 main moons.
So I dug out my ancient 3.2 mega pixel Nikon 990 and tried a spot of digiscoping. (I have a more modern compact but it doesn't have the correct fitting to mount on the scope).
My batteries lasted about 60 seconds which was only long enough for me to capture the moon, I also was hoping to capture Jupiter and it's moons (So I'll be better prepared next time).
This isn't cropped this is straight out the camera with minor contrast & sharpening adjustments.
