I did not sleep well so started my morning walk at 5:30. At six I carefully approached the shore of the Lake Ruona as I saw a whooper swan in the distance. It was making strange noises. Evidently it somehow detected me although I was hiding quite well - in my opinion. It started towards me and continued making the noises, perhaps calling its mate. It stopped maybe 20 m off the shore and I took this shot. It stayed there for a while and I decided to leave it in peace.
