Bee day

Wet and miserable today but had to drive to Windsor to pick up my 2 nucleus hives. We had a quick coffee at Mike's on the way and drove round the back roads to avoid traffic on the M25 and M4. Most of the bees were inside the box but the odd one or two buzzed about the car for a little while. We turned the heater down and they settled on a window in a little huddle to keep warm. Tedious drive home but bees cosy now and spending the night in the greenhouse.
