Dragonfly

Found this hiding in the hedge in my front garden this afternoon. I've looked at the charts, but I can't work out exactly what it is, and I am waiting for someone on the ispot website to help me out.. I think it is must be a female of a species. 

If anyone on here knows the answer, please tell. 

Update: it's a southern hawker - immature female.
