Another early start for breakfast in the teepee (extras), then we caught the monorail into the park for when it opened. The idea of getting early access if you’re staying doesn’t really seem worth it - turns out the rides don’t start until the normal time anyway, so you only get early access to standing in an unmoving queue!

We had a great day, with a good mixture of big rides (queues) and smaller rides (funny), nicely punctuated by food stops. The best ride of the day was definitely The Smiler, which was soooo worth the queue. We couldn’t stop talking about it all day afterwards.

Back to the lodge in the evening. Instead of the restaurant, Si and Matt drove to the nearest shop for some drinks, and we ordered room service pizzas to Gary & Rach’s little terrace. Pretty early night for everyone after a busy day of excitement.
