Fishing, Kelso style....

A day of cattle work.
Spent the morning next door sorting out cows that were to go to the bull, and sorting out scrap cows that weren’t . Also tagged some calves.
Once all that was done got everything organised to bring in the Angus bull ready to put out to the cows only to discover that he had gone lame on a back leg. Bugger.
All 8 bulls in the field were certainly having a big rammie yesterday, so don’t know if he’s just lame or got hurt fighting .
Any way, after I had carted the scrap cows and calves to a field down the road this afternoon , Littlemiss and myself headed off to the other side of Kelso to see an Angus bull that was for sale.
After a bit of a chat , a deal was done and he was in the trailer, heading home.
We stopped off for chips in Kelso , where the bull rumbling about in the trailer parked at the square attracted a few funny looks !
Spotted this man in a boat while out for a wander.
Back up the road through a torrential downpour and let Eastfield Fergie meet his new ladies . He came out the trailer and bulled a cow straight away so hopefully he has been a good buy !
