All smoke and no fire

I caught this walking to my office this morning. The thunder woke us up but it was all moving south of us, and there was no rain for us today. Which is too bad, as the lawn is starting to beg for some water.

Today turned out to be hotter than they had predicted, so we are hiding out in the house again, where it’s cooler with all the doors and windows closed and the curtains drawn, the fans on high.

As I write this I am in the dark in the bedroom with the fan blowing on me trying to cool off. My office just got too hot to be in today.
