When I was very young my Mum told that there was a spider at the bottom of brown paper bags.
Because of this, I was unable to help her unpack any shopping, or at best I had to leave the the last few bits at the bottom of the bag so the paper bag spider wouldn't get me...

Strangely, this has not left me with a fear of spiders... but friends and partners never let me pack or unpack shopping?
