Scarecrow Festival

There is currently a local challenge to 'Green' the Cartmel Peninsular.  We are asked to challenge ourselves to comply with one or more of the following:
Turn off lights when leaving a room
Replace bulbs with LEDs
Line-dry clothes in summer
Boil only the amount of water needed
Turn heating thermostat down by 1 degree C
Reduce normal shower time by 1 minute (4 people)
Wash up using a bowl instead of a running tap
Halve your food waste by planning meals and using leftovers


Locals have been invited to produce scarecrows to help advertise the campaign and to provide a bit of fun for locals and visitors alike.  This is one of the scarecrows now outside a house just down the road from us.
