Reduziert!

Daughter#2 started her new job at the military university in Munich on Thursday. After two days she is emotionally somewhere between 'excited' and 'terrified'! It has been quite a culture shock compared with her previous job in Strasbourg, much more formal and very, very bureaucratic.

She is relaxing in Weinheim now with her fiancé and his family. They have been shopping and for some reason she was alone in thinking it was funny that the German Euro 2020 kit has all been reduced to half price. She's not sure if they will be watching the match tonight. I wonder when the England kit will be reduced :-)

Something else I thought was a bit silly today. We switched our current account to Lloyds back in Feb 2020 and for some reason they sent us two chequebooks. Today I had to write my first two cheques, numbers 00001 and 000002. You wait for ages to write one, and then two come along together.

And something silly (I thought so anyway) from yesterday. One of the furniture designers who came to see us had an expensive looking Apple laptop. I was expecting to be blown away by the design program and graphics, but when he showed us his ideas I realised it was running Windows 10 :-)
