Quite a sleepy start after a busy few days. I spent the morning doing some baking - a coffee & walnut loaf (extras), and a gluten free version of my lemon crinkle cookies.

In the afternoon we took the baked goods and a couple of camping chairs up the road to Ben and Nat’s house. The whole gang was there to celebrate Dave’s birthday yesterday and Sam’s today. We got the barbecue going and - classic British bbq style - the heavens instantly opened (also extras).

Eventually the showers cleared, and we even had a little bit of sun. We gave in and watched the football, then sat around a fire in the garden for a while when it got dark.

Had a few options of blips today but couldn’t resist this one. I took a photo of the boys opening their joint birthday present - loaded water pistols - but I didn’t expect that I’d perfectly capture Sam getting instantly squirted in the face!
