Sprouting
We don’t remember ever seeing this sprout before so we have been fascinated to see these spikes appear. You know me and plants (no clue) but good out Google lens suggest this is a Phormium Colensoi. A bit more googling suggests it may only flower once a decade with a couple of spikes so this one seems happy with a load of spikes shooting up - all due to mum’s green fingers.
I headed out early for breakfast with mum, dad and Leo at M&S cafe and then we shopped for goodies as Leo’s girlfriend was coming around for the day.
Ian had a disrupted train trip home as an incident on the Paddington line meant loads of trains were cancelled and delayed. He took a chance on a train to Taunton and all worked well as he managed to quickly connect to a Tiverton train so I ended up picking him up mid morning at more or the less the same time as he would have arrived if his plans had worked out.
We enjoyed watching the footie game with a 4-0 England win. Well, Ian and I enjoyed it. Leo & B fell asleep on the sofa a d snoozed through most of it! I am not surprised also was whacked after playing almost non stop footie all day yesterday. It is a hard life being a teenager!
