Slab Hut Creek
Ive picked up my friend Adrienne and her dog Fleur and were off for a week's holiday in the van. We literally flipped a coin on which way to turn out of the driveway and have ended up heading south down the coast.
We slept to the sound of this creek last night and woke to the sound of native Bellbirds and Fantails this morning. A beautiful setting.
We stopped in late morning to visit friends at Kumara and then they joined us for a walk along Kumara Beach where Rob found us each a piece of ponamu. Very special.
We had a very late lunch on the waterfront in Hokitika and are now at a campground in Ross for the night.
I've back blipped yesterday because we had no coverage at the camp site.
