Lantern Magic

Went to a Magic lantern show, and yes, it was magic. This was entertainment in Victorian style. The presenter was dressed in top hat and tails and the audience was regaled with stories that were accompanied by beautiful and colourful slides. Some stories were humorous and others moralistic. There was an illustrated rendition of "You take the High Road..." and there were animated slides of a snoring man who kept swallowing rats amongst others. It amused me!
At the end of the show I asked the show presenter if I could take a photo of the Lantern. I got better than that, the lights were turned off and this slide was projected onto the screen, so this is my blip for today.
