Pub Painting

The Henson Park was built in the 1930s and, like a lot of Art Deco pubs, its exterior was decorated with paintings on glass made by commercial artists.

Extra: Disagreement about the ice cream atop the pub’s garage. I thought it might indicate a kiosk, used at halftime when the nearby oval was the Newtown Jets’ home ground. Mr SF believes it’s the new gelato bar in the pub’s family-friendly beer garden.

Thanks for hosting Marlieske.
