Just Wonderful :)

I did my early get up and out again today. It was pretty quiet as I drove along wondering where to go for a walk. I spotted a juv green woodpecker (extra) which was very unexpected as they are scarce in the area that I live in. There were at least 3 juvs flying around...

I also spotted a different barn owl and then decided to go down the shortie road for a walk as I haven't been there for a few weeks. Well, I didn't even get as far as a walk or getting out of my car because I watched an adult briefly & heard some hissing. I turned round and to my absolute delight, there were 3 juv shorties on posts next to each other...three! And, there was another one hissing nearby to make it four.

They sat on the posts hissing away for quite a while before flying around & then coming back to the posts. I have a couple of lovely videos that I'm not going to post just yet, but when I do, I'll link them in a blip. :)
