Fears realised

Nearly six hours in A&E today and after X-rays and a CT scan I have been told I managed to inflict a greater trochanteric fracture on my right femur. They have ruled out surgery and going for near total weight reduction on the right leg, so I’ve been given a pair of crutches and told to use them.
The summer doesn’t look as though it will be much fun........
