Walk on the Wet Wild Side

…. And our best sighting, a juvenile Golden Eagle, soaring round the cliffs above Pont de Nant just before the heavens opened, with a close second best encounter of a pair of Nutcrackers feeding on trees broken by avalanches this past winter (extra). We passed the snow bridges formed under an avalanche which is still quite large. I love the vaulted nature of these formations which you so rarely see (second extra).

Thanks for the many gifts for the grebe babies yesterday. I wonder if the other two eggs have hatched.
