For those joining from another channel:  After being admitted to Smiddybrae Care Home my mother has not been allowed visitors for two weeks.  I've arranged an appointment on Tuesday.

Today she came up with another conversation stopper.

This is how the phone conversation went from the start:

Me:  Mum how are you doing today?

Mum: Who is that?

Me: It's me Mum, Iain.

Mum: Oooh Iain, I've got to tell you I've just had the most amazing Christmas dinner, with all the trimmings......

After the chat ended CMC caught me checking the calendar.

SE wind, mist, grey haar.  Weeded the tunnel, planted new perennials, sorted compost bin, trimmed 'hedge' etc.  Really enjoyed the etcetera.
