Wet lillies

We spent an anxious day waiting for Wills PCR results. His housemate at uni developed covid symptoms and had a positive lateral flow test (Saturday). He and Will had been in the house together on Thursday.
Will had decided he'd need to self isolate for 5-10 days regardless so after much discussion decided to cancel his trip to Cornwall. He was disappointed, however, the Cornish weather this next week isn't brilliant and it gives him time to do his room.

The remaining uni household will have to self isolate in Newcastle. I'm so glad we got Will out on Friday before any of these symptoms and tests kicked off. I really feel for them as most of them were packing up and coming home this week.

Will did really well with his room. He got another coat of white on one wall. The skirting was cleaned and painted. Most of the flooring was removed. All his clobber was transferred from his to my room. He dismantled an old wardrobe, and finally the last flat wall was almost completed painted - until he ran out of paint.

 In the middle of the afternoon Wills PCR test came back negative, he'll have a repeat one in 5 days time. I can still work tomorrow, I'm pleased because I really didn't want to isolate for 10 days.
