If My People......

We gathered today at FBC Pflugerville to give praise and thanks to God for the wonderful country we are blessed to live in!  No country is perfect and ours has her faults and problems, but we are truly grateful for all the blessings we have been given over the years.  We started our service with a fabulous prelude played by Deani on the piano.  I was privileged to hear it, but have no pictures of her playing so wonderfully, because I am in the choir and we had not yet come into the loft.  Then, the choir and orchestra performed the patriotic music we have worked so diligently on.  We were joined by the congregation at designated times.  After the musical portion of the service was completed, Reverend Grady Somers blessed and inspired us with a message regarding the necessity of trials and hard times in the life of a Christ-follower, so that we give up depending on ourselves and look to God  as our refuge and strength.  I know I usually summarize the points of the sermon, but I hear a storm brewing outside and need to post this quickly..You can hear the service on the Livestream link if you want to know more
