Linlithgow loch
Sunday
Over to Kirkliston first thing to feed and play with Lily and James. Lily appeared this time, although she was still being a bit aloof. Steven and Lisa come back home this afternoon, so she'll be happy then.
Next it was off to Linlithgow to meet gavin, Emma & Arthur for a walk. As usual, he soon found a play park and this view of the loch through the trees was taken from there. We stopped for a coffee and they all had bacon rolls, then a further walk around the Palace grounds before heading our separate ways. Extra of some lovely flower beds in the town, which Arthur said looked like a snake.
The sun came out when we got home and Dennis mowed the lawn while I sorted some things in the garage to take to the tip tomorrow. We started hearing loud thunder around teatime and then it absolutely poured down - torrential rain for a good half hour. Our road was a river and we had small ponds on the lawn. Later we heard that various parts of Edinburgh had been seriously flooded, including the new shopping centre at St. James's.
