Mono Monday Flower Power

The themes this month are Back to the 60s. What a groovy idea. Here is my authentic 60s money box. Can you guess the colour?

Today Maddy and Leo came in to visit and they are helping Pop take out a tall photinia hedge. It grows too fast and we are trying to get the garden suitable for us when we get older and less able to do big jobs. I will plant a smaller growing variety. It will look awful for a while no doubt. Leo and I attacked the remaining stumps from a low growing box hedge. After 69 minutes we had one more removed. It’s a terrible thing to remove as I don’t want to damage the path with heavy machinery. We’ve been doing it since early in the year. the roots are tangled up with weed mat and little white pebbles.
