Old Age

Today has been such a lovely day. I had a well needed lie-in this morning and then spent over an hour skyping a friend in Australia. I then went out to Wagamama's for lunch with some friends. I love Wagamama's -it tastes so fresh and healthy. (I don't think the pudding was healthy but it was delicious!)

I also received a letter from an old friend today who lives in the USA. For the past 15 years we have written hand-written letters to each other and it is always such a joy to read her news. In an age where you rarely receive anything hand-written or personal in the mail, it is so special to receive her letters.

Whilst I was in town I went down to the park and had a wonder around in the rain. I spotted this gnarly old tree and rather liked it. I like its' knobbly trunk!
