Up at the O2

We spent Saturday with good friends climbing over the top of the O2 - a birthday treat from January.   It's a lot of fun and the views are spectacular.  It was built as the Millennium Dome, which originally housed the Millennium Experience, a major exhibition marking the start of the new century.   It wasn't very successful in its original incarnation, but is now a far more successful concert venue.  Plus it houses lots of shops, restaurants, bars, a cinema and trampoline park.    We walked home via Greenwich and the foot tunnel, then along the river to Limehouse before cutting up the canal to Bethnal Green.  A good day.  The main shows part of the walk, the extra is a view from the top.
