Music while you munch (slurp, sip, browse, shop).

These are the RoysterCatchers who bill themselves as a ..."Kentish traditional and acoustic music band;" and this is another in my occasional series featuring music and musicians in Canterbury. Performers always seem completely comfortable with having their photos taken; I suppose they are simply at ease with being watched, like to "show off" a little, and are at home in their own skins.

The photo was taken at the Goods shed, just near my home. I went in to browse, heard the music, chose to stay for lunch. A delicious thick mutton and veg broth from "Jonny Sandwich," followed by a cappuccino. Real food, slow food, good food. The music really lifted the atmosphere. Despite the grey skies and heavy rain suddenly Canterbury felt festive and cheerful.
