Balmer Down

A nice morning walk on the South Downs with the spaniel. I counted fourteen butterfly species including my first White Admirals, Essex Skippers and Ringlets of the year. They brought my species count to 35 for the season so far. This is the view southeast from Balmer Down across Ashcombe farm and towards Firle Beacon in the distance.
