This is the first time this year we have seen the Yellowhammer ...... having not seen or heard it we thought it must have gone elsewhere!

A real treat in store though, as not only was dad there singing away, but the whole family were there together!

There was the male, female & three young fledglings!

They were all fairly well concealed in the foliage but I did manage to get a reasonable shot of one of the young which I have blipped as well as Dad .... hope you like them :-)

Really pleased that we braved the weather ...... there was distant thunder as we went out & we got wet on the way back home ..... but we wouldn't have seen the Yellowhammer family if we hadn't gone! :-)
