Quod oculus meus videt

Busy Bee

I was working this morning, but also intended to meet L for lunch so my last team meeting of the day was carried out 'on foot', as I walked the 5 miles into town.  A novel experience, though I'm unsure my colleagues appreciated the background noises for some of the time as the wind was quite strong, causing some interference on the microphone.

As I passed through Reedswood Park a small area had been made over as a wildflower meadow so I took the opportunity to capture some images, lucking out when this bee decided to drink from the nectar of this cornflower.

In the afternoon we moved into the 21st century when we bought a new television.  We have to wait for the delivery, which should give us an opportunity to read the extensive manual on what it can do.  I was interested when we were told that the screen panel itself is the speaker for the TV.  Will have to see how that goes.

Last thing I watched the Prime Minister deliver the much anticipated announcement around Step 4 of the roadmap.  Quite sobering to think we are going to relax controls as the number of infectious cases continues to grow.  I fervently hope we are successful in getting everyone vaccinated, or immune because of having contracted the virus previously.
