I'm not sure if she was a particularly good mother or not. You see, I saw her in the field before I saw her fawn on the track. She bounced away in one direction and her fawn decided to head in the opposite direction (presumably having seen me). And they both kept on going.
We diverted off to try and stop the ever increasing distance between them.
On the way back we saw the female again and this time she bounced all the way from whence she came - at least that was the same direction as her fawn. I'm hoping they found each other.
