Common swift

My friend Josie and I went for a walk round the local nature reserve this afternoon, and as we were leaving we met a local artist who asked if we wanted to see her baby Swift! 
It turned out to be this wonderful creature, who had fallen out of the nest and she was hand rearing, he was just so photogenic!

Charlii had her partial knee replacement today ( I have been up since 4.30 ) as she had to be in the hospital by 7am. All went well and hopefully she may be home tomorrow.
