But not for much longer.

I had been tied to the desk all day so went for some evening air.
This pub is shut now for refurbishment. It’s an old coaching inn (you can still see the outline of the arches on the left). It’s been called the Victoria since the eponymous Queen visited the railway & the village. It’s now owned by a chain who seem determined to drop the name for something generic.
To be honest I can’t actually muster much giving of a shit. But it does seem a shame.
