The kids

These are 2 of my great-nieces and 2 of my great-nephews. Kaydan, Lacey, Zak and Ella. Their mother is my niece, Natalie.

Usually we see the kids at the week-end. Kaydan normally stays overnight. This arrangement allows my husband and I to do all the fun things you get to do with kids - looking for tigers in the local woods was our last escapade - without the pressures of being a parent to 4 children less than 4 years separating the eldest from the youngest!

Anyway, I've been at a bit of a loss today because the kids are away for a holiday with their parents. They are having a whale of a time and I am missing them dreadfully.

This picture was sent to me to say, get well soon, and I think it is a brilliant picture of them. Kaydan is holding baby Ella and he has a slight look of panic on his wee face. Zak is looking at his daddy who is standing in the doorway and Lacey is still at the stage when she says "chhheeeesse" and her whole face smiles!
