Corstorphine Paving.

The flat rocky stretches on the west side of the hill near our house are part of what the guides love to call Dolerite Pavement. They are about 350 million years old - give or take a year or two.

The old fence post goes back to when the hill was divided up by various estates.

It was hot and sunny today so we went out and saw Wood Anemones, Western Hemlock trees, Horse Chestnuts starting to appear and nice yellow Gorse bushes.
