Well spotted
I spotted Spotty and her young rider together with her companion on another horse this morning. Didn't have much option really as we had to pass one another in a very narrow lane. The horses, who obviously exercise down these narrow lanes regularly, are used to coming across vehicles of all sizes so a mere car wasn't too bad, although it was all a bit close for comfort.
T and I have had a lovely day, first visiting K & K (son and girlfriend of a friend of mine) who have a house down this narrow lane, and a house to die for, if you like to live in the country. I fell in love with it all and adored how they are breathing new life into an old cottage in a sympathetic way, but with all mod cons. The views are spectacular, but as you can imagine, where there's lots of potential, it means loads of money being thrown at it, but they are young and are doing so much work themselves.
We left K & K in bright sunshine and went to the model flying field where I left T flying his various craft with lots of other enthusiasts, and I went on my way alone with camera to see what I could see. My walk started off beautifully but then the rain came and I had to beetle off back to base pretty quickly.
Just before the heavens opened a real plane came over the flying field, dive bombing us and doing some very impressive aerobatics. T told me it was our friend GJ in his YAK (Russian, 2 seater, fighter trainer), showing off, as only GJ can. He's an awesome pilot.
NB. Thanks for all your kind comments yesterday, but I have tailored the caption and a little bit of text as on closer inspection I don't think they had any intention of cleaning those windows!
