There is a new "no packaging" store near me, so I've been saving up containers so that I can shop there.
I certainly won't be able to do my whole shop there but at least part of it makes a huge difference.
I will need to get some bigger containers though.
Pasta, oats and rice are easy winners here, but I'm also hoping to cut my reliance on tins (I get a lot of chickpeas and lentils in tins).
Unexpected wins have been with peanut butter, oil and spices. You can actually scoop peanuts into the peanut butter machine and make it right there, something I'm glad about because it's a nightmare cleaning those plastic peanut butter tubs for recycling.
I've also started a "return to store" bin because I hate when packaging says return to participating stores to recycle, so I will be returning packaging that says that. I doubt they actually have a system for it.
Next thing to investigate will be a composting bin or worm farm, but might be challenging living in a flat.
