Coming Through

Four Bus Pass Walkers caught just two buses - walked from Gilstead through Milner Field - Hirst Wood - along the canal to Bingley for refreshments

Spotted this narrow boat going through Hirst Wood Locks - and spoke to the owners - who were on a 300 mile circular journey from Northampton - as many locks would be encountered -coming through Hirst Woods led the walkers on the wrong path - ended up on the banks of the Aire instead of the canal aquaduct - luckily not much mileage added to get back on route - should’ve done a reccy!
