Charlie

So called because a friend of my parents was always in his garden and his name was Charlie. My Granny bought this spelter blacksmith at an auction being held in a big house on Bute. She loved these auctions and we have quite a variety of things she purchased. He was a table lamp originally but when he was passed on to my Mum, she was not fond of it so Dad just put him as an ornament in the garden. We have him now and Foloh has painted him with Hammerite black paint.
Another pleasant sunny gay. We had the Brodie afternoon tea with a friend that we had not seen for 2 years. She is staying at Nethybridge for a few days and had phoned to see if we could meet.. I had to ask for boxes  because there was so much to eat.So we  both left with enough for tea.
