Bee moving

Darwin’s turn for day care today and he wasn’t overly happy at being left. He didn’t eat all his lunch when I pick him up so must have been a bit stressed but they said he had a great time in the field playing. Bath time for both of them, as we wanted to cut Kilda before going away. Got everything out but she was a bit too matted to have the longer comb through so it would have been ages trying to cut her and maybe a brutal shave, gave up to her delight. We did but Darwin on the table and run the clippers over him to get him used to them, he wasn’t impressed. We have 3 bird boxes in the garden and this year the bees have decided to occupy 2 of them. We found Darwin trying to eat one last night so I waited till it was later in the evening and taped up the holes before removing them. We then carried the boxes to the local gardens and put them in the wooded section on the back, removed the tape and ran. Hopefully they will be OK, we did see a couple that got left behind but they might see some mates around and get back to the box, at least no bees were harmed in the moving process that we know of.
