Underfir Wood
It's rather strange, but when looking at the thumbnail view I can see what the source material was - conifer branches blowing in the wind set against the blown-out lake surface. I was quite close to the tree and a good distance from the lake.
However, at full size I struggled to recognize where it was, although that's hardly the point. What is interesting, to me anyway, are the shapes and textures and tones. I like the sense of movement created by the circles and soft focus pine needles in motion. All the activity contrasts with the calm are in the top left.
Another hot and blustery day, staying in the shade was essential and I planned my route from one tree to the next.
