Culture - in the art gallery
We went to London to see Old Times and half hoped I might have got a blip from there. Alas nothing very interesting. The play was good although I preferred Betrayal which we saw in the same theatre last year, also starring Kristin Scott Thomas.
We had a brief spot of retail therapy and there were many blip opportunities, especially people with mobiles. But as I had already done one of those earlier in the week I really wanted to find something else on an more cultural theme. So we popped into the National Gallery, making a note to come back another day to see Man Ray Portraits next door.
A recent survey of art gallery visitors found that:
1 in 4 talks on the phone
1 in 4 txts
1 in 4 uses a camera to photograph other visitors
and only 1 in 4 actually looks at the art
