NYC Bound by boat

Fourth of July and anyone with a boat was lining up in the early evening to get a spot along the river to watch the Macy's Fireworks display going off that night.
This is my grandson with the Statue of Liberty in the background.  It was a warm but beautiful evening and the fireworks show did not disappoint.  

Earlier in the day, we were celebrating my other son's birthday at his house with delicious Indian food and an assortment of desserts.  I put a couple of shots in extras.
Fireworks continued going off when we came home until almost midnight.  It's probably the most I've  hear in a couple of years.  Unfortunately my poor dog Dillon had to hide in the basement to avoid the noise but Mia didn't seem to mind at all.  Strange how one dog is so afraid and another isn't.  
The heat wave continues around here with temperatures near 100F.
