Rice Pattern

The morning light shines through the rice pattern and makes me smile even after 35 years. I started with a purchase at CK Tang in Singapore and have never wanted to change this surprisingly sustainable choice. Over the decades I have expanded the set and can still buy the same design at my nearest Chinese supermarket if needed, though with a cupboardful there are plenty of bowls, plates and a teapot.
