Back in the archive again today in search of any clue as to the fate of the portrait of Viscount Hanworth. Three thick files full of discussion about what to do with various fixtures and fittings out of the old Chancery Lane record office. Including confirmation of where the Viscount's portrait was stored in the Kew building. So, a few lines of investigation to follow up. Ever onwards.
