Soaking up the Sun

Thank you for the response to the Poppies. Today when I passed there was just the seed heads left.
I headed out for a bike ride whilst it was cooler. A beautiful morning to be out in the countryside. 

In the meantime Richard took Jet to the vets.  He has been gnashing his teeth and drooling on his left hand side. His gum is inflamed so we are awaiting to see what they suggest given his age. Apparently he still managed to scrounge biscuits from the assistant. You can’t keep a good Labrador down!

Rather liked this flower and what I think is a hover fly soaking up the sun in the woods.
