Willet

I've seen Willets on the Cape before, but it has been a few years.  I took a hike to the beach today to practice capturing birds in flight with the seagulls.  It ended up there were also terns, and a beautiful Willet pair.  The extra is the partner in a treetop.  I didn't stay with them long - their behavior indicated they were disturbed by my presence, probably indicating a nest nearby.  If I get a chance, I'm going to return during this visit and see if they are still in that area.
