Rest in piece Dad

Had a call at midnight from the hospital to say dad was getting worse. Headed over there as quickly as we could but it took longer than expected with all the motorway closures for roadwork’s. Got there around 2am and he passed away just after 3am. Glad we managed to get there in time and it was peaceful. Came back for a bit more sleep and then we had the task of phoning people up. Had a letter from the insurance company of someone dad hit. Called them up and got through to Hastings Direct and Ali in the third party claims team who hung up on me when I asked for his surname or reference number so I could make sure who I was talking to. Eventually got through to them again and confirmed they had all the info they needed. Took Darwin and Kilda for a walk at the golf course, both of them were in the pond swimming, I caught my finger in Darwin’s lead when he went in and damaged my little finger ligament by the feel of things. Went to the local pub for dinner and an early night. The only job mum needed doing was to mow the lawn. After figuring out how to use the electric lawn mower I got the back lawn done. The picture is an old one but the extra is from today. Just needed something to remember dad by as the main photo.
